Doxycycline PEP

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection transmitted through the bite of infected ticks, most commonly in certain regions of the United States. Early symptoms may include fever, headache, fatigue, and rash. In specific high-risk situations, a single dose of doxycycline may be recommended after a tick bite to help reduce the risk of developing Lyme disease.

Post-exposure prophylaxis is most effective when taken within 72 hours of tick removal and only when clinical criteria are met. Use as directed by your physician.
